Nursery
The Nursery wing consists of three classes — Nursery, K.G. and Prep — for children aged 3+, 4+ and 5+ only. This division, Tiny Tots, is placed under the charge and responsibility of competent, specially trained individuals to ensure effective functioning, ably assisted by trained and skilful teachers who guide and nurture the young ones.
Teaching methods include play-way, kindergarten and Montessori.
From the very start of their academic careers, stress is laid on discipline and neatness. Children are taught health and hygiene, awareness of the world around them, and good manners.
Children are encouraged to develop an all-round personality through singing, dancing, painting, acting, reading, writing and exploring the environment.
A spacious playground and a mini aquarium are salient features of the Nursery department. The nursery also has a library, a toy room and well-furnished classrooms, as well as colour television sets with VCD and DVD players to keep the children in good humour and to evoke in them the desired interest in studies.
Every second Saturday is Parents’ Teachers’ Meeting Day. Parents are expected to attend the meeting to discuss the progress of their wards. Children should not accompany their parents to these meetings.
